Working them Culottes!

Comfortable, wide-legged, cropped pants are what really culottes are! I wont lie, I did not fall in love with them at first sight; but as  I saw women style them to perfection, my affection for them started to build up. At this point in time, a pair of culottes tops the list of my wardrobe essentials. The oh-so 60s feel to these slightly modified versions is absolutely amazing.

They are not only for summer but fall and absolutely perfect for monsoons too. Contrary to common notion of being difficult to style, culottes are one of the most versatile items of clothing. You just need to think of them as A-line skirts and pair it with blouses/t-shirts/shirts that would essentially end right before the hip. This will make sure, that your waist doesn’t end up looking broad and bulky.

Pointy, sharp shoes are best suited for this kind of silhouette. If you are going to wear them during fall/winter, boots would be ideal.
