How to pack like a BEACH-BUM-DIVA….

Holla! This little over-exited chirpy-ness, because I am writing about my favourite kind of dressing style. Beach destination – bohemian/hippie. Since I recently got back from Goa and have been constantly getting updates from friends about heading to beaches in Goa,  Thailand, Maldives, Spain etc, I thought this is perfect time to drop a post about it!

Packing for a beach holiday is as exciting as the holiday itself! It is full of colors and easy breezy clothes that set you for the mood even before taking off.

A few essentials would be sunblock, flip-flops, beach bag, sarong, bikinis, wide-brimmed hats, sunglasses and all kinds of bohemian/hippie style outfits possible.

I usually start with picking out clothes and accessories. All other essentials go in last.  A pair of denim shorts and a few soft cotton shorts with crazy prints and colours to start with. Not a shorts person? Skirts in vibrant hues would totally do.

Next up, start digging out all your breezy, baggy crop/tank tops. Mix and match them with the skirts/shorts. Try all combinations possible even if at first glance they do not look great; on wearing they might reveal a different story.

Sundresses, Shorts, Maxis

Sun/summer dresses can’t be missed while packing for a beach getaway. Maxi dresses are my favourite go-to for the dress section of the holiday wardrobe. They create a relaxed demeanour and look classy at the same time.

Last but not the least. Sarongs and trendy bikinis/monokinis. Modern with a vintage twist. Geometrical and asymmetrical shapes and cuts. Color block. Mis-matched. They are all trendy and there is no reason why you shouldn’t go all out with our choice of beach wear. Carry funky sarong/cover-up for the post-dip walk around town.

Don’t forget beach hats, trendy sunglasses and bright flip-flops along with dollops of sun-block/tan lotion. Lie down on the beach, relax with that watermelon mojito, let go of the worldly woes and consume the tranquility of the raging waves!
